I just joined this forum although I've been following it from time to time to check things out, it has become an important resource and I think loosing it would be a disaster, since I do think that D11.5 shows that the dev team moves in the right direction it is really sad Adobe don't meet and communicate with their clients and community in public in a meaningful way. I know there are a select few that are in touch with the team but that is far from enough. On the other hand - I do want them to code new features rather than chatting - but one person at the Dir team must have the task at taking care of the community.
Please Martin, if you do shut down, please publish the sql-exports so it may be replicated somewhere. I would vote anytime for Dean Utian to include it on his site, as much as I would like to see Dean as the spokesperson for Director to talk to the community. Adobe really needs to come out of the closet and meet their audience, just as Tom H. did every day and in my mind Dean is the man for that job.
Anyways, I still use Director to reach out on the web with 3D as the plugin is so wide spread. I am working on a 3D online world using OpenSMUS, and another game using the new audio engine which is very nice apart from some bugs.
I really hope someone at Adobe reach out sooner than later and puts things straight here to save this forum and kill off all the rumors and speculations.
